Materials & care

Wash cold, inside out, and dry flat in the shade. The print is water-based and settles into the fabric rather than sitting on top of it, so it lasts as long as the garment does. The less you wash it, the longer that is.

About this piece

The years show up. They leave without a trace.

Low profile, curved visor, an unstructured crown that takes the shape of your head instead of fighting it. The portrait is stitched small and centred on the front panel — thread rather than print, raised against the twill. Five light colorways, one size, an antique buckle at the back.

The story behind Black Don't Crack

Black Don't Crack started as a compliment thrown across a room and never left. Melanin, spray-can lettering, a gold hoop catching the light — a portrait of someone who has been through it and does not carry the receipts on her face. The line is old. The drawing is not.
